The title 'Myth Machine' demonstrates all the richness of meanings that gives us words connected by genitive case: if you want, read it 'The Mythical Machine', or "The Machine Creating Myths".

Ambiguity here plays into our hands. This epic compilation by NEN Records is dedicated to myths as a ways of giving meaning to the suffocating meaningless reality. It is devoted to narratives, coherent or broken, that each of contributors create by their own lives. Perhaps, therefore, the release turned out to be so poly-stylistic, and there is nothing to be surprised at.

And of course, behind all these narratives, lurks the shadow of a huge and hardly perceived Machine, which severely cuts off the plot lines and - arbitrarily, it would seem, draws new ones.

Note: All tracks on the compilation are created on electronic machines of varying complexity, each of which, for sure, has a hidden desire to tell its own machine myth (and you can even distinguish it).

Двусмысленность здесь нам на руку. Этот эпический сборник NEN Records посвящен мифам как способу осмысления удушающе бессмысленной действительности. Он о связных и ломанных нарративах, которые каждый из нас, каждый участник компиляции творит из собственной жизни. Возможно, поэтому запись получилась такой поли-стилистической, удивляться здесь нечему.

И конечно, за всеми этими нарративами маячит тень огромной и мало постижимой Машины, которая властно обрывает сюжетные линии и – произвольно, казалось бы, рисует новые.

Учтите: все треки на сборнике созданы на электронных машинках разной сложности, у каждой из которых, наверняка, есть тайное желание рассказать свой собственный миф (и вы даже можете их расслышать).
