shelobolin isn’t a novice in music, but this is the first time he moves so far. 'escape narratives' made of hyperpop sewn from сuts and clips of Russian late pop, hard drum mutating into weightless sound design and technoesque bass, switching in all spectres. A quirky club sound that reminds not of rave dungeons and laptop-lightened sleepless nights but of intimacy, near lost in similar music. Pure app or Purpur playlists lose a thing without this. A certain degree of naïveté only adds fire here. The feigned honesty in compositions like these is already tired, but real, laconic openness in 'escape narratives' has not been heard for a long time. This recording flies through the ears instantly, but manages to get stuck in them immediately and completely. And in the heart too: this music may not heal soul wounds, but it will definitely help to forget about them for a while.

God knows why high-fashioned dance labels didn't release this tape before this war began. However, now there's no time for talks.

shelobolin пишет музыку уже не первый год, но так далеко зашел пока единственный раз. Здесь — хайпер-поп из всех стоящих обрезков русской поп-традиции последних лет, хард-драма, перетекающего в невесомый саунд-дизайн и техноидного баса, мотающегося по всем слышимым спектрам. Экстравагантный клубный саунд, напоминающий, однако, не о типичном рейв-подземелье и освещаемых монитором бдениях, но об интимности, почти утраченной звуком подобного толка. Хоть сейчас в плейлист что Pure, что Purpur. Энная степень наивности только добавляет огня этой записи. Наигранная честность в подобных сочинениях уже утомила, а вот настоящей, немногословной открытости в такой музыке давно не слышно. И хорошо. escape narratives пролетает сквозь уши мгновенно, но успевает застрять в них сразу и напрочь. И в сердце тоже: чувственные раны эта музыка, может, и не подлатает, но точно поможет о них на время забыть.

Одному Богу известно, как эта музыка не устроилась на моднейших танцевальных значках до войны, но теперь времени рассуждать о таком просто нет.
