Соластальгия - термин, предложенный экологом Гленном Албрехтом - по аналогии с ностальгией, чтобы описать феномен тоски по дому, которую испытываешь, не покидая дома. Подобное душевное состояние исследователь зафиксировал у жителей шахтерских городков Нового Южного Уэльса, где добыча угля открытым способом привела к необратимым изменениям ландшафта. Местные жители буквально оказались в незнакомом пространстве, вне дома, хотя из дома не уезжали.

На дворе антропоцен, и соластальгия является эмоцией планетарных масштабов, описывающей состояние всех, кто сталкивается с явными и неотменимыми трансформациями среды обитания. Однако соластальгия в широком смысле слова - тоска по дому, которая настигает тебя в сердце дома, - знакома даже тем, кто безразличен к переменам климата и массовому вымиранию, но все же чувствовал, что земля уходит из под ног, хотя вещи вокруг кажутся неподвижными.

Сплит Θ16 (aka Krugom16) и Myrrman - это музыкальная медитация на тему соластальгии, рассмотренной как в предельно личных, так и общих контекстах. Первый проект затеян геологом из Оленегорска Сашей Ферсманом с целью скрещивать прямой бит и полевые записи. Второй - сольное предприятие Арнольда (см. Кое-кто заметит, что похожая комбинация музыкантов образует проект "Оцепеневшие" - и будет, конечно, в чем-то прав или права. Сходство, скорее, внешнее: кейсы, срезы, оттенки утраты у Θ16 и Myrrman сугубо индивидуальны, однако их объединяют работы на высоких скоростях переживаний и глубокий телесный захват слушателя - не столько в ступор, сколько в танец. Авторы и сами захвачены: говоря об утраченном, они поглощены утраченной формой - линейным нарративом с завязкой и развязкой, многословным и завороженным воспоминанием о воспоминании.

Solastalgia is a term coined by ecologist Glenn Albrecht (by analogy to nostalgia) to describe the phenomenon of homesickness that you experience without leaving home. This state of mind was described by the researcher in the mining communities of New South Wales, where open-cast coal mining led to irreversible changes in the landscape. The locals literally found themselves in an unfamiliar space, away from home, though they never left it.

Anthropocene has arrived, and Solastalgia is an emotion of planetary proportions that summarizes the state of all those who face an obvious and irrevocable habitat transformation. However, solastalgia in a broader sense is homesickness that catches you in the heart of home - it is familiar even to those who are indifferent to climate change and mass extinction, but still feel that the ground crumbles under their feet, although things around seem immobile.

A split album by Θ16 (pronouned as Krugom16) and Myrrman is a musical meditation on the subject of solastalgia, considered both in personal and common contexts. The first project was conceived by Sasha Fersman, a geologist from Olenegorsk, with the aim of crossing four on the floor beat and field recordings. The second project is Arnold_pR's solo enterprise (see Reutoff, Quattro Bravo Eballieros, etc.) for extracting inhuman grief from deposits of techno, new-beat and Italian-disco.

Some people will notice that a similar combination of musicians forms "Оцепеневшие" - and it will, of course, be something right. This similarity is rather superficial: Θ16 and Myrrman's cases, cuts, shades of loss and longing are strictly individual, but they are united by high tempos of emotional experience and deep corporal capture of the listener - not so much in stupor as in dance. The authors themselves are captured: speaking of the lost, they are absorbed by the lost form - a linear narrative with an opening and a catastrophe, a verbose and spellbinding memory of the memory.
